French Culinary Walks... explore Cleveland neighborhoods where culinary entrepreneurs provide high-quality, European and French-inspired foods.

Just for fun this summer, take two hours and come explore Cleveland neighborhoods where culinary entrepreneurs have been working hard to provide high-quality, European and French-inspired foods that were never available in Cleveland before. All of these locations are members of the FACC Culinary Community…so try their products but also try to meet the culinary entrepreneurs who have built these great businesses .  For example, try our…

Lee Road Culinary Walk…Within two blocks of each other, you will find FOUR of Cleveland’s greatest culinary treasures. You can mix and match them in whatever order you want, but pay attention to the days and hours they are open so you don’t miss anything. We took the members of our FACC Culinary Community on a test walk (in this order below) recently and it was a fantastic way to spend a couple hours …. tasting delicious foods and getting to know some wonderful entrepreneurs.

Marchant Manor Cheese (2211 Lee Road, free parking behind). Features French and European inspired Jesus made right here in Northeast Ohio by Cleveland’s. Some of the best Camembert this side ofvtge Atlantic and many other award-winning local cheeses made by “Cheese Doctor” Kandice Marchant. https://www.marchantmanor.com/ Wed-Sat, 11-7 (including afternoon Wine and Cheese Happy Hour, 4-6), Sun. 11-5.

Next, Walk down to Sophie La Gourmande, home to some of Cleveland’s best pastry and other sweet treats. Also, nice quiche and salads!  Enjoy meeting Chef Bob, his team, and his great modern café!! https://www.sophielagourmande.com/ Open Wed.-Saturday, 11-4. Ample free parking behind the store.

Then, just a couple doors further down Lee Road (st 2285 Lee), you’ll find Mitchell's Fine Chocolates, an amazing European chocolate store of the highest quality. Come meet entrepreneurs Jason and Emily, their fine team of chocolate makers, and treat your taste buds to incredible chocolates!! Open M-Th, 10-7, Fri-Sat. 10-8)

Lastly, head back toward your starting point where you’ll find CLE Urban Winery at 2180 Lee Road. (We list this stop last only because they open last, 4-10, T-Sat.). Owner Destiny Burns is also a French Chef and offers some wonderful wines, many produced locally but French-inspired. Check out the winery and wrap up your walk with a nice relaxing moment in what was originally an auto repair garage that Destiny has converted into a very nicely into a comfortable social spot.
