First-ever, in-person meeting of the FACC Culinary Community
A great opportunity to meet one another, taste some excellent products produced here in Cleveland, and to brainstorm creative ideas together.
First-ever, in-person meeting of the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC) Culinary Community
Wednesday, March 6, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Locations: Marchant Manor Cheese, Sophie La Gourmande and Mitchell's Chocolates
The event will feature three of our FACC Culinary Community members who are located on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights. The event will start at Marchant Manor Cheese, located at 2211 Lee Road (one block south of Cedar Avenue). Our host, Kandice Marchant (Cleveland's "Cheese Doctor"), will offer a sampling of some of her cheeses and a glass of "something bubbly." She also will share some insights from her journey as a culinary entrepreneur here in Northeast Ohio. We will have ample time to explore Kandice's shop and socialize with each other.
At 2:00 p.m., we will move a short distance down Lee Road to Sophie La Gourmande, to meet Chef Bob Sferra and his colleague Chef Tom Francescangeli to sample some of their French and French-inspired pastries and to hear from Chefs Bob and Tom about some of their "secrets to success" as culinary entrepreneurs in our region. Along with a closing cup of coffee there, we will taste some European-style chocolates that will be provided by Sophie La Gourmande's neighbors on Lee Road, Jason and Emily at Mitchell's Fine Chocolates.
This should be a great opportunity to meet one another, taste some excellent products produced here in Cleveland, and to brainstorm creative ideas together. (Feel free to purchase samples to take home to your family or team as well!)
